PassPlus is a training scheme for new drivers.  It aims to improve your driving skills and make you a safer driver!  There isn’t a test as the assessment is done by your Instructor and it’s backed by some of the major insurance companies.  Government statistics show that one in five new drivers will have an accident within the first year on the road.  PassPlus helps prevent you becoming one of those statistics.

The course has the following modules:

This first module is split into two parts, the first part is an introduction to the course and the second part is a practical session with driving in a town environment.

Module 1: Town Driving

The ‘driving in weather’ session follows on from the first module and takes into account different types of weather conditions.

Module 2: In Weather

The third module takes you out and about into the countryside and looks at the different road types and the sort of vehicles that you are likely to meet in the country side.

Module 3: Out of town

Night time driving offers a whole new range of skills to be learnt.  We show you how to get around when the usual reference points can no longer be seen.

Module 4: Night time driving

This is the first of two modules that deal with driving at speed.  We look at observation, planning and use of mirrors to help us move safely on faster roads.

Module 5: Dual Carraigeways

This is the only type of road that as a learner you would not have driven on.  As with dual carriageways, we look at all the skills needed to drive safely.

Module 6: Motorway driving
